The dash-1 differential case is only superficially the same as the later assembly. I have an empty Goose case and it's narrower, 2 lb lighter and has some internal bosses  missing in later cases. The cross shaft for the clutch release is shorter, uses needle bearings instead of bushings and is smaller in OD. The casting is missing the two extra bolts below from the later one. I do not have the Goose upper cover that mounts to the bridge..
