We have revised the website, the revision is currently online at a new web address, check it out:

panterainternational.org

Webhosting at the older web address "panteracars.com" shall be terminated, and the old web address shall be set-up to forward people to the new web address.

We are trying to accomplish this as seamlessly as possible, but there may be a period of time in which the website will disappear from the old web address without forwarding you to the new one. We're forewarning you now so there will be no surprises, no one need be alarmed.

You may want to update your link to the website now.

I'll be updating the website links here at the forums soon..

I really appreciate the History and Evolution of Pantera International.

Is the wealth of information contained in all the back issues of the News letters and Magazines going to be available. I have seen the index and what appears to be the use of an article number system that compliments the original Ford shop manual.

Having a comprehensive, extreme detailed version of the a Pantera shop Manual would be very desirable and compiling such (if I ever rebuild 5177) was on my dream to do list.

would the PI TIS cross referance pdf be available in doc or higher pdf format. I was unable to run OCR and make it searchable or be able transfer to excel to allow sorting.
We've been getting phone calls for Christmas merchandise, Debbie and I wanted to get the revised website online as soon as possible, necessary because of the updates to the store inventory. Some aspects of the store & website really weren't ready. I've been working on the cross-reference and the back issue information. Those revisions should be online later in the week.

Most newsletters and all the magazines are available. We will work at keeping all the docs in stock, but there's just two of us.

The cross-reference pdf available online is the only pdf version of the document we have. The Adler's have the original document.
It appears folks with links to the old web address (panteracars.com) are being re-directed to the new web address (panterainternational.org).

We have a new email, info@panterainternational.org.

For the time being the old email is still functional, and it is forwarding any new emails to the new email address.

Deb and I are working every minute available towards finishing the website upgrade. We hope to upload the upgrade this weekend. But if we aren't finished it may not be uploaded until next week.

If anyone has any problems or questions, let us know.
George,
Thank you and thank Deb for all your hard work on the web site. You two rock, as the young kids say. I know it's a lot of work. It sounds like you maybe need to start passing on some of that work on to us younger kids. If you need any help, please let us know. I will do what ever I can. And I know I will not live up to how both of you have done so far.
Thanks Ken

Your comments are appreciated, they truly lift us up.

I've been waiting on the development of "in-house" web skills since 2006. Thanks to Debbie that has finally happened. We are currently making improvements that I've wanted to make since 2006. We've been "catching-up" at a very fast pace this entire year. I am a creative personality and a perfectionist. I create stuff and then tweak it over and over. It is a necessity that I can sit down with somebody, like I can with Debbie, and guide them in turning what I envision into reality. I drive her to the point of frustration from time to time, that's what its like to deal with a personality like mine on a business or creative level. I am well aware of this, but that's just one side of me. There's also our daily time together at the coffee house, and happy hour to cap the day.

Life is good. We enjoy what we're doing and we don't want anyone to think otherwise. However I am already older than Dave Adler was when he passed the club to me. The pace is very fast. We want to stay around to 2021, the Pantera's 50th anniversary. So we're committed to keeping up with that pace at least another 6 years. After that we'll be ready to pass the club onto the next caretakers. We are proud to say the club is lean and mean today, Pantera International is not even close to faltering, in fact the club is growing stronger and more focused than ever. But there's room for improvement (we need sponsors). So we'll continue to work on making the club as healthy as possible.

To those who would like to contribute and be involved, we welcome and appreciate that. Contact us privately and let us know how you envision helping. Everyone who wants to contribute to the club can start by simply contributing to the forums.

George and Debbie

Yes settings have been changed. But we don't want to cause anybody any hardship. Changes are never carved in stone. We do want to hear feedback from anybody having trouble, we promise we'll do what is possible to rectify the issues.

Most "small" PC monitors these days are 1280 or 1360 pixels width, one of the larger "laptop" screen sizes is (or was?) 1368 pixels. Frankly things change so rapidly its hard to keep-up with the changes. We're building our screens around 1360 pixels width, that's the website and the forums. That wastes a lot of space on a 1920 monitor, but its also much bigger than the screen of many portable devices. 1360 pixels is 70.8% the width of a maximum width 1920 pixel monitor. Our banner ads are 332 pixels width, if we get to the point of having four banners, 4 x 332 = 1328. Usually we set tables (or columns) at percentages. This allows the tables to become wider or narrower on various screen sizes. We'll try-out our web pages at several screen widths (and on Deb's cell phone), using several web browsers, and see what they look like in different sizes & on the different browsers, then make adjustments if needed. Another variable is whether o not a person has a vertical toolbar (explorer bar) on the left hand side of the screen, diminishing the screen's width. We're learning, getting better as we go along, we're still on the steep side of the learning curve, and due to the proliferation of portable devices (especially cell phones) there's much more to consider than there was a decade ago.

My point is we learn from your feedback and therefore encourage it!

Ron there is indeed more "back ground" visible on the sides of the "tables". Is this causing any problems?

Trivia ... did you guys know that was Laslo Antal's black group 4 tiled in the background?

Chuck your screen has me puzzled, I don't think you've pictured the whole thing. I'm not seeing scroll bars etc. It looks very narrow, like 480 pixels or something. Is that a mobile device or a PC monitor? If its a PC monitor, what browser are you using?

George -

I just clipped out a small area of the screen - sorry if I wasn't clear.

Here's a shot of the whole screen.

I do have slider bars on both the Horizontal and Vertical sides.

If I slide over to the right, I can see the whole "Recent Forum Topics" bar.

It's the monitor on a PC. I am running Internet Explorer. Screen resolution set to 1280 x 1024 (Recommended Setting per Windows). In fact - looking at it - that's as high as I can set the resolution on my HP L1925 monitor.

Chuck
