Wow lots of snow about! It looks like it would be fun for about a few minutes. We just had a storm front pass through the islands, we call it Hawaiian snow! Oahu and Kauai were the worst hit. Both islands got 12 inches plus of rain in a 24 hour period and a lot of flooding damage. It was the worse flooding that I've seen in 40 years! Hope you all have a safe and mild mannered Christmas!
Just checked outside about a hour ago and we have 7" of snow on the ground now. Started snowing this morning about 5am, have even had thunder too! Storm is suppose to drop up to 12" before the storm ends sometime this evening.
Weather reports also are telling us that another storm to come though on Sunday with up to another 12".
I bet Im going to have fun on my way home this afternoon.

It snowed in Palmdale & Lancaster, but not in Fillmore. Clouds & rain, yes, but no snow. The rain just makes the mountains surrounding Fillmore turn beautifully green.

you'll have to save your revenge for another day.

cowboy from hell
The New England ice storm left us without line power for 6 days, 18 hours.

We got by on a 4500 watt diesel standby generator out in the barn. Ran it 18 hours a day. Gosh it's a noisy, stinking thing.

I took care of my tenants (two separate dwellings, 6 kids, 3 kids) and a couple of other neighbors with my trusty old 5000 watt Honda.

Gave them a few hours of juice each a few times a day. No frozen pipes, warm houses and water.

I even kept Miss P's winter home above freezing.

8" to 10" due tonight. More Sunday.
It's been coming down since 10am here east of Toronto, a good 10-12 inches so far with drifts going much higher.

I put lights on my kids' newspaper delivery wagon so they'd be a bit more noticeable ... front/rear and side marker LEDs along with a blinking blue on the rear - all powered by a 14v cordless drill battery ... Next they'll want a motor, front skis and a track :-)

At this house, I'd watched my neighbor clearing his driveway around 1pm before going to pick up his kids at school, it's back up almost to the top of the wheels on the wagon in about 4 hours.

Everyone made a big deal out of the snow here, but it turned out the be anti-climactic. It was supposed to snow on Thursday too, so I layered up, grabbed my camera and had every intention of driving around the city taking pictures. And then...no snow. Not even clouds. Totally clear and beautiful. :-(

Here is the Porsche seeing its first snow. I think it was also the first time I have driven in snow. Ever.
