I've been watching it, looks pretty shabby, and agree, it will be a BIG expensive project to put right, but it is kinda'interesting' with that hood bulge? 'urban legend!'
Along the same lines, what ever happened to the "Odd Goose"? The rock musician that bought it from an estate sale in the '90s, sold it 15-20 years ago when the engine quit and it's since evaporated. That poor thing needed most of a front clip, a new dash & interior to rectify the customizers' work.
I was mildly interested in this car. Presently I am wiring my friends body shop from the ground up. Was considering partially bartering for some of the work the car needed in order to make it less cost prohibitive. I wouldn't be looking for originality, just a clean, tight car. This is probably a little too far gone for what I'd be capable of doing within the next few years though.
And SOLD for just shy of $40K.
If the car has any real rust issues or ZF problems then probably a fair price was paid. I wouldn't call it a steal considering what else is on the market but for the right person with the right skills, a great project worthy of the effort that will be needed to bring her back to where a Mangusta should be.
