I would tend to state that belts were not standard (at least) in the early cars, but later cars seem to all have belts. On mine the passenger 3 point belt is very similar to a 70 Benz and the driver's side is a 4 point Britax setup. The fixations appear to have been done factory style and not in an aftermarket hardware fashion.

If you remove the panels behind the seats, you will see the welded nuts for a regulation seat belt bolt.

They will be obvious, and outboard near the pillar.

You would then drill through the leather and cardboard panel to install the shoulder belt into the existing hole.

Most cars had an eye screwed in, and a clip type aircraft harness attached over one shoulder.
