...Or a 225/50-15. Right now I have 295/50-15 on the back and 205/50-15 on the front. The nose is 'Way down in the weeds'!! The 205 has NO sidewall hanging over the rim. At that size use lose some 'gyroscopic stability' in the steering, but you gain on the 'Brake Tourqe'! Plenty of wheelwell room and the chassis just misses speed bumps...
I have one set 305/50X15 rear with 245/50X15 front and another set 275/45X16 rear with 245/50X15 front.

First autocross I ran with the Pantera, I was half way around a 180º, hit the go pedal, and pushed the 225/50X15 tires sideways straight at the grass. 245s still push, but not quite as bad as the 225.
