It looked like everything Italian (in Minnesota) showed up at lake Calhoun for the Wheels of Italy car show August 26th. Lots of cars and motorcycles including Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, and my favorite deTomaso! I think there were seven Panteras before the end of the day and one Mangusta too. Unfortunately there wasn’t any "group" parking so I couldn’t get a photo of everyone together. WOI puts on a very nice event, no entry fee, just fun. Link over to their web site for more show photos. http://www.wheelsofitaly.com/v2/us/en/xhtml/welcome/index.php

Hi deeb. First let me say I would have never cut the tub myself! When I bought the car back in 1979 the previous owner had already cut out the tub, but never got around to installing the Plexiglas. Instead there was a piece of aluminum pop-riveted to the bottom of the tub. I used the aluminum as a template to shape some 1/8 inch Plexiglas and fiber-glassed it to the tub. It was my first time working with fiberglass so not my finest work, but nobody sees the bottom side. Besides, it has held up for 28 years now! I saved the old aluminum piece and covered it with matching trunk fabric on both sides and lay it on top of the Plexiglas when I want to carry something in the trunk that might scratch the Plexiglas.
