I am wondering if anyone knows where are the following Pantera cars and could help me identify and locate their owners:

THPNMR02619

THPNMR02646

THPNMR02783

THPNMR02812

THPNMR02820

THPNMR02838

THPNMA02867

THPNMA02906

These are all 1972 European GTS models and are probably all in Europe, so I am hoping our international members can be of help.  Thank you in advance.

We own 2781 it’s in the USA I understand it’s not on your list (2783 is)!

We cannot find any record of this car ever being delivered to the US (via Marty Autoworks). This car has some features which we have not been able to relate to other American delivered cars. We have long believed this car was imported to this country. If someone could shine some light on this it would be a big help. This car was owned in California prior to us purchasing it. We believe it was in CA in the 1990’s. Thanks Ken

2017 spring! Correct we are the new owners. The sunroof was deleted by truly craftsman restorers. Rough would be giving it ground 6 full months in the shop with work monitored weekly ( two Quarterly articles). The car was supposed to be painted green according to production (and Marcels records).  It was initially painted red (a major disappointment to me when I thought it was white). There was apparently a batch of cars pulled from production to be made into GTS VERSIONS in February 1972 and painted red. As near as we can tell this car is as part of that group but never made it to GTS status. Put back on line in and completed in April. Regardless it’s back to its delivered color of red at this point.

Joules, a copy of a DeTomaso Automobili document that was posted during a Pantera auction on BringaTrailer by a European partner of BringaTrailer.  This document originated by a large law firm in Germany.  These VINs were included in that document, plus the VIN to my car (02778), and all were listed as European GTS models.  I am trying to find out how this law firm in Germany got a hold of this document and what other Pantera documents could they be in possession of that would benefit folks around the world.  Seems like if there is one thing a lot of us share in common is the fact we would like to know more about our cars and their individual history.

Michael, I am simply trying to find out which ones are here in the United States, and what country are the others residing in.  Almost every new Pantera owner on this site starts their post with, "I bought chassis #XYZ" and state what country they live in.  I live in Harrisburg, PA.  If someone does not wish to identify themselves, I totally understand their concerns, and that's fine too.  It's just a voluntary sharing of information on a forum that its main purpose is sharing of information on these unique cars.

KR500 Same with my car; it has features I cannot find on any other Pantera in the United States.  Which is why I got on this fact finding mission.  Just curious on where are the "brothers and sisters" to my car.  Also, my car was made in red color and it still is red.  Never had a color change, so I am happy about that.

I don't know the full back story, but here's what I think I know.... the new De Tomaso owners had a lot of the factory documents, which ended up with lawyers in a law suit by Capricorn the P72 chassis manufacturer, when they withheld the prototypes they had apparently not been paid for.

I am not sure if its the same documents but Philippe Olczyk acquired a lot of factory documents that he touts on FB for sale, but wants ridiculous sums of money ad won't show exactly what he has for each VIN#.

Hi the document below was received from Marcel out of Switzerland. You will see 2778 is the first entry; based on translation color was TBD. 2783 which is on the original list is blank???  Our car 2781 was originally scheduled to be painted green but was delivered in Red. According to another enthusiast VIN numbers 2706 thru 2822 were built in February of 72. Our VIN indicates car completion in April. We can only conclude it was pulled offline and finished. I’m also attaching another factory list I found on line. You can see how long cars may have sat around and how some cars could have “cosmetic” differences.
