Which MSD coil? | The De Tomaso Forums

I've got an old Stinger coil, but a new (within the past year or two) MSD distributor and ignition box. I'm wanting to go ahead and put in a new MSD coil too, but am confused about the two different offerings I see at Summit's page: an MSD-8202, and an MSD-8203.

Anyone have a recommendation?

The base coil is the same. The 8203 comes with the balast resistor and extra coil plug ends. Depends if you need the extra parts.

I guess since I already have MSD everything else working, I don't need a ballast resistor, or the other stuff then?

Hard to say. For a few extra bucks, might be good insurance to change out the ballast. It is really not needed but it is your call.
