which optima battery?

I've got the 34/78 1050 and am using the billet aluminum hold down from PI Motorsports. There are other hold downs available as well, but you will need a hold down device compatible with the battery, and adapt it to the tray.

Also consider obtaining an Optima charger. If you ever discharge the battery completely dead, the Optima charger has a charging profile that can resurrect a dead Optima battery. Regular chargers won't do it.

I myself had a Optima, and since they have moved production to Mexico I have heard to many horror stories and so when it died after three years I went with the Odyssey Made in the USA and a very good reputation.

I have Odyssey batteries too, I gave up on Optima after quality issues arose and their warranty was reduced to pro-rated.

Sears Diehard Platinum are rebadged Odyssey and Sears offer a 100 month warranty.

I'm going to look into the Diehard platinum. I have never been a fan of diehard, but if they are essentially Odyssey batteries that are re-badged...then maybe ill give it a chance.
Looks like they are about $200.
