Can anyone figure this out? I have a totally stock '72 engine including carb. If the car sits for a while it won't start (just cranking or pumping the gas pedal like hell it doesn't matter). So the other day I decided to loosen the clamp on the hose leading up from the pump/filter to the carb and I heard a little burp of air come out. It then started immediately. Same thing today except gas sprayed out (not a safe situation I realize) - but the car started just fine. I am not sure if it is some kind of vapor lock or I have a clog in the carb somewhere- seems to flow better after pressure is released from the fuel supply line to the carb? Someone said something about an in-line carb filter at some point as well and I have no idea what that is. Any ideas?
