This info is based on my car built in 6/72.
To remove the inner door panel. Remove the screws around the edge of panel they are small sheet metal screws. Also remove the arm rest 3 large screws located under rubber plugs. The plugs can be pried out with a screw driver. There are 2 or 3 plastic retainers left between the panel and the sheet metal near the top. I just pulled and pried but they might break, mine didn't. Remove door handle 1 screw.
On the window mech. there are adjustable stops that should contact stops before the window glass contacts the limit of travel in the rails. My window would jam and I had to reverse the motor with the hand crank. I adjusted the stops until the window stopped short of contacting anything. The same is true for both directions. The adjustments are right in front you can't miss them. Also align the guides and clean/grease the steel wheels with white Lithum .
The speakers were butted against the motor housing pushing on the whole assembly. I put spacers to move the speakers out from the door panel to stop contact.
Reverse the procedure for assembly of the door panel.

The side windows on my car have a difficult time closing near the top. It seems to get real tight near that area, and in fact, seems to be kind of crocked near the top (the rear part of the glass seems to be lower than the front part). I can move the glass around also by hand, and not sure if that is normal (front & back within the chanel).
