I think I have two of these. One out my 74 and one out of my friends 73. Both of these are driver's side motors. The passenger motors were both junk.
I would personally recommend doing the Ford Taurus or Aerostar motor conversion, or the Vadar window system before going back to a stock motor. The Taurus and Aerostar conversions are easy and work 100 times better than stock.
I have also seen the Vadar system in action and it is sweet! A little pricey but probably worth the cash.

Thanks Devin. I will look into it. Any years in particular for the Taurus or aerostar units?
For a quick cheap fix I just went to a local auto/marine/electric shop and bought universal 12v reversible motors. The mounting studs were exact and the only difference was that I had to cut 1 inch off the shaft and they fit perfectly. More power and a larger diameter but still plenty of room. I use them on both doors and the headlight mechanism. That was 12 yrs ago and they are still working fine. About $30. CDN back then.
