What would a rookie like me do without this board? On my black car, when I bought it driver side the window didn't go up. Got the pannel off and saw that the wire to the motor got disconnected...ha, easy fix, even for me! Then the window was binding at the top however, so I searched the board and found tips regarding all the bolts and areas to adjust. Now it works perfect, although I had to leave the top bolt a little loose on the verticle slider. When tightened too much it would bind again. Goes to show we have more benefits here than just a magazine.

Thanks John. I got tired of fiddling with it and just left the top bolt a little unsnug. I don't think that would cause problems, but we will see. Maybe a little loose lets it move around a little up the channels. One of the door pannel bolts took me about an hour of cussing etc to get it in, so I am just hesitant about taking it all apart again.
On both doors in my car there are three washers between the track and the door at the top.
I found it because one bolt was too short for the extra spacers and had stripped out letting the track flop around.I repaired the thread and used a 5mm longer bolt taking care not to have the bolt contact anything. There was also a washer under the track where it bolts to the bottom of the door. This was just on one door, I don't know why.
