I've heard $1000 for a new, aftermarket one.

Contact the vendors for a windshield.

A couple of years ago....
I had a new factory windshield, (Sicursiv), installed by the previous owner just before I bought it. He bought it years before.
When I got my car back from a dubious vendor,
he had "lost" (sold ???) my windshield and trim.
So I investigated my options....
The vendor's webpage listed a price of windshield at $1,515. But I learned these are no longer available. Lovely.
Non-factory windshields were either around $400 for a "bad" one (low quality), to around $800 for a "good" one. I believe Pantera East organized the subsidery of the supplier of factory windshields to make more.
I hear they are of great quality, but stamped with a slightly different name than Sicursiv, and were around $800 when I last checked.

Or are you relaying second-hand info? If so, from whom?

I saw one (not a engineer-type inspection !) of Pantera East's windshields. I have yet to buy one.

I bought my windshield from Hall about 2 years ago for about $850 including shipping.Its a good window with tinting.
