What's the difference between a Windsor and a Cleveland camshaft? I've ended up with a Windsor block and wondering if I can use the cam I bought for the Cleveland....

The outside diameter of the cam bearing journals are not the same. They are made for one engine or the other. One type does not fit both.
Thanks. Is there any other difference like length or distributer drive position?
The length I can't speak to but the distributor drive is in front as are all Fords.
The two may be ground on different cam blanks. That I don't remember precisely on. I don't have an example of either here right now that is uninstalled to compare.
The distributor drive gear on the cam is also different.
So, can I use a Cleveland distributer with a Cleveland cam, in a Windsor block (assuming I can get the correct bearings)?
The drive gear on the front of the cams are different in OD and skew angle. I think the distributor bore in the blocks are at different angles. Trying a Windsor dizzy gear on a Cleveland cam will work for about 5 minutes. Then since the drive is on the extreme tips of the cam gear teeth, it wrecks both the cam and dizzy-gear.
