No, there are several exhaust patterns. The OEM Ford pattern is quite narrow.
Many aftermarket heads have a wider bolt pattern that permits a wider port.
There are two variations on this that I've seen. One has the wider bolt pattern
in-line with the old pattern. The other has one higher and one lower bolt hole
(per port). Also, the better flowing WIndsor heads will have the exhaut port
relocated. The AFR 225's, for instance, have the exhaust port raised 0.375".
This may caus problems with certain headers. Also, the as-delivered ports are
larger than many header flanges.
