This winter I plan to strip and repaint my '72, plus make a few repairs and upgrades. Here is an outline of my plan.
Remove the power train before media blasting the body and engine bay. While the engine and tranny are out: flush and seal the gas tank; re-gasket and safty wire the tranny (leaking); and, replace the timing chain.
During reassembly, replace the rear a-arm bushings and one wheel lug (short because DPO mangled it removing a stuck lug nut).
I also plan to upgrade the cooling system with SS pipes and an aftermarket radiator and am considering relocating the A/C condenser.
Need suggestions for a radiator and pros/cons on the condenser relocation.
Have I missed anything that I shoud do while the power train is out?

Fluidyne makes a very good aluminum radiator for the Pantera. That is what I use along with dual sucker flex a lite fans. Works great.
Some of the vendors, notably the Byers Bros at PreProFormance sell a complete kit to relocate the AC condenser to the front. If you're still using pusher radiator fans, and you do relocate the AC condenser, be sure to mount a BIG sucker fan behind that part of the radiator that aligns with the AC condenser, with a switch that turns that fan on when you're looking for 'cool'. FYI, such a condenser relocation AND a lay-down radiator can be combined with little more trouble than with a stand-up radiator. No particular problems accompany the condenser swap, as long as you also add a good aftermarket radiator such as a Fluidyne or equivalent, much larger than stock fans and add the extra fan for the condenser. Spacing between the units is important- the two should not touch. Use foam insulation around the edges to cut down on air migration between the two cores.
If you're going to detail the engine bay, running the tail light wiring inside the upper body channel can be done now.
Thanks to all of you for your time and information. I have added removeable cross member and relocation of the tail light wiring to my list.
It is hot here in Orlando and I don't want to create any cooling problems, but I would like to improve the A/C performance. Sounds like I would be safe if I combined the condenser relocation with laying the radiator down and replacing the pushers fans with flex-o-lite suckers. I believe that I have seen a kit that includes the fluidyne and fans as a package, but I can't remember who sells it. Pantera East? Anyway I've started collecting parts and plan to get started in October.
