My wiper switch is suspect.
i have pulled the front off it and sprayed it with contact cleaner and it is a little better, but not great. As the wipers need to be perfect for the inspection, I may have to replace the switch.
it doesn't seem to want to come out from the front, and I can't seem to get my big hands to the back of it.
Any suggestions as to how it comes out ? is it a dash out job ? if so what is the easy way to do that.
Any help would be greatly appreciated Smiler

or do i need to do it from behind ??

oh and yes, I can't wait till it gets registered !! then I can pull it apart and fix it all up !!
Lucky it only needs this inspection once and not every year, other states in Australia need it done every year !

The switch has tabs that have to be depressed from the back side. The switch comes out from the front, but the sad part is that it is the most difficult switch in the car to get out. You need small hands and have to almost stand on your head to get the thing out. I would be more than happy to do it for you, but I think you are a little further away from where I live and I don't think I can drive there.
Thanks Smiler
well it is out !!
turns out someone previously glued it in !!
so it took the kitchen knife and a hammer to chisel off the glue and then it slid out just like you said !
i pulled the switch apart and cleaned it and now it is fine, but i may have cracked it putting it back together !! it is all loose, but it works ! now i know what i am looking at i may get a new one later on.
i just want to get it registered !
