i have run into a problem. I was checking my fuses and fuse 1 thru 6 have power going to them. and 7 thru 12 have no power going to them. what could be the problem and how could i fix it. any help would be greatly appreciated.

The top fuses are usually unswitched (always on), and the lowers ones are ignition switched. You probably have no issues. Just turn on your ignition and check them again. ;-)

i did have my ignition on and i tested the fuses and nothing happened
Hey 'vette,
if there's no power to the fuses, sounds like a loose wire or a bad contact in the ignition switch. The ignition switch is notorious for such things.

Vette, There is a connector inside the steering column cover which uses brass screws to hold the wires. Mine had heat damage which effected the electrical connections.
