On the other hand.....  In a monopoly, a healthy source of competitive products is often helpful for the consumer. 

I think that some of RBT pricing could be considered artificially high because of his unique position.

With regard to the 3.78 R&P, it certainly wouldn’t be a bad thing to deploy some knowledge about the Steve Wilkenson parts if anyone has first hand experience.

Personally, I can not add any first hand info on the R&P sets, but I did take a successful alternative path on the repair of my 2nd gear synchro due to the high pricing of the RBT components (gearset & synchro).  

In the repair, and during my R&P safety wire exercise - I did buy a number of items from RBT, and they were all top quality, even if ordering and shipment took a little bit of time.
