You want my recommendations. Do not mount any spark box in the engine compartment. Heat, humidity and vibration will kill them. It is tight to find room in these cars, but having the box right next the engine's headers will cook the system. Interior of the cab is optimal or the front boot. Just get it away from the heat of the engine. When mounting use rubber isolator (provided with some models) to reduce the vibration.
I have all the parts to convert to a Dura Spark ingnition for my 73 and my 79 has a Hall Dura Spark Conversion. I raced a Motorsport Duraspark it was the most durable system I ever ran. I favor the factory ignition. If you break down you can stop at an Autoparts and pick up the part.
