Hear this awesome little engine:
Hear the RPA V8 starting | Hear the RPA V8 running (audio files are MP3 format)

And here's a Powertec powered Radical setting the lap record at the "ring":

I think this would be a great engine transplant into a Vallelunga. Anybody have one all apart? I'd love to measure and photograph the chassis and splash a mold or two off the body.

And here's a competing product that's not quite as powerful, but still impressive:

Neat idea, building a V8 based on a pair of cylinder heads from a Japanese Sport Bike.

This engine has a flat plane crank, which means it will "whine" like a formula 1 car or a Ferrari. Cross plane cranks like those found on American V8s dictate an irregular firing order and create the burbling exhaust note everyone loves.

Notice the engine is warranted only 30 hours between rebuilds, pure racing stuff.
