Wow - Was driving my 71 Pantera with a dash-1.
Left a stop sign under normal acceleration and the trans locked momentarily. I skidded across the intersection and the trans unlocked. Pulled over to the side and couldn't get any gear. Except reverse. However, the clutch worked and it apperared the trans was locked in second gear. I idle it home could hear metallic sounds - I think, maybe one of the ring bolts backed out. Looks like a long weekend.
Hopefully I didn't break anything. Frowner

OH MAN!! Whenever I read something like this iI get this stomach ache way down low. I hope everything is fine and it turns out to be linkage or something.
Mike,
So how are you and the family ? Hows everything up there in Conn.

The car its ok I took the motor and trans out and planning to do some work over the winter. The motor is at the engine builder and planning a stroker. I would like injection or webbers. But I was in Holland and checked out some Panteras. One guy in Arnhem said the webbers are a lot of work. I have supension work to do but have to see what direction that will take. My email is ronmarl@optonline.net

Thanks Lloyd,
I was at the Sand Show and saw your booth. The Guy that was there - I can't remember his name was great. We talked about the situation and I saw your cut away of the trans. Sounds like it may not be to bad... When I get a chance - I'll yank it and bring er on down......

RT66,

Just out of curiosity, had you already shifted second, or were you still in first when the lockup occurred?

Michael

Sorry took so long - Was away on vacation.
In first only...
See Lloyds response below.
I can't get reverse or any other gears.
The only way i can move it is by pushin the clutch and having help to push it out of the garage.
I can't even get neutral.
