Never happen on the ZF. Under the end cap are the Input & Output shaft bolts that hold the gears, dog teeth, syncro's, spacers, and everything else that's held in place & together on the shafts.
Not to mention the selector forks and rods.
There would be no way to pull the gear assemblies & the imput & output shafts out from the rear as a group. It would be impossible.

Hey Coz. Is there a way to make the rear cover of the ZF such that you could slide new gear sets in and out in like ten minutes or so? I have heard of quick change rear ends and such and was wondering if there was a kit that you could do that with. That way if you were at the track and decided you needed a skoosh taller final gear that day, you could just change it out in a few minutes and go and win the race.
Also has anybody looked into a way where you can like unhook a few quick connects, take out four or five bolts, and pull the engine/tranny in less than an hour. It occured to me that some of the guys take their engine out so often that something like that would appeal to a lot of Pantera owners. Has anyone done that yet?????
