What kind of punichment will the ZF-transmission take as far as Horsepower/Torque ?

And what enginebase/type besides the Ford 351 will it take/fit ? Will it for instance take a Hemi 426 without any major modicication ?

Regards Hasse...

Ps. I am a total mechanical moron so i hope you Folks will bare with me :-)

Agreed that Goran is your man with respect to questions on the Hemi.

The ZF is pretty much accepted as one of the strongest parts of the car. Perhaps the most well known psycho motor was Junior Wilson's various iterations, which he used to compete in Silver State. He got his 800 hp car airborne at 200+ mph (not just urban legend stuff) and apparently snapped an input shaft or something. But keep the thing on the ground and you should have no problems.
Ooh, there is a specific section for the ZF didnt catch that beeing new to the board...
Of course I have seen Gõrans Hemi, his right in my backyard practicly, but I am not at all that much a powerfreak...500 + Hp should just about cover my ambitions, but I would just LOVE to have a Pantera with a Hemi breathing down my neck, the ultimate in body AND engine :-)

I was thinking a 426 Hemi would do the trick.

Thanks for the replys Jim and Charlie...

Charlie.
Sorry but two things keeps me from going...
1. The only thing that i would relly like to do at that meet would be the track.
2. I currently drive a 928 S4 and on the track i would be Passed at every corner :-/

But IF i get a Pantera before the meet is beeing held I might reconcider, but by the storys I have seen and from the people I have been writing with it could take some time to find the right one, especially being on a "budget" as I am :-(

Regards Hasse...

Ps. That "Jãckel Pantera" i would KILL to own..
