Once again the electric in my car did strike!!!
on my drive to The alignment shop I noticed on my “ Back to the future” Voltmeter that I built, that Linear with RPM the voltage was climbing ! 17.6 V at 3200 rpm!!! (I did check with multimeter my reading!)

There was no other indication that i had an issue with my regulator, and it could create quite some havoc I imagine!

Be aware… A voltmeter is a good thing!

Yes, a Voltmeter is a good thing!

Lots of ways to skin that cat…. From the AutoZone cigarette lighter to many more options!

At night, you notice immediately… “Damn…. My lights are BRIGHT!!!”



Anyway, get a solid state VR (and a spare) and don’t look back.

If you’re serious about an original look, just swap the sheet metal covers!

Yup… I did go solid state.. I had the original still in it…

I try to make it a reliable car.. some want original…. I just go for period correct look at 150 mph
