I am trying to paint my car the med blue pantera color.
Of course the original code chart is not longer useful.
Does anyone know the current mix for this color?
thanks

well go to a professionalpaint shop they have tools to "extract" the color and then can mix it..
The problem is you need a med blue pantera to get the color from.
My car does not have a med blue color.
I was hoping someone with a med blue car has already had the car color scanned and could give the results.
Do you mean "Grabber Blue" or "French Blue"? Not sure what med blue is? Phil Camp had his car redone in Grabber Blue and you could ask him if that is the color you are hunting for.
the pantera was painted a unique med blue.
Only 200-300 cars were painted that color,
I dont want grabber blue
I want to paint it a real pantera color called med blue in the paint chip code.
Well, call it Medium Blue, Grabber Blue, French blue, my 71 was painted that blue before it was changed. I still have remnants of the color on the car in certain places. See the thread on this site where this was discussed at some length.

Phil Camp had his original car repainted in this blue. He lives here in San Diego.
So this is the V406 color correct? See this thread for some additional insight/ discussion and reach out to rrs1
72' Grabber Blue paint code | The De Tomaso Forums (infopop.cc)
Sorry to be difficult. the V406 is the right color code which is not grabber blue.
The 1971 pantera med blue is not grabber blue it is a darker richer color and almost has a tint of purple in it.
you can look up pantera blue on this webbpage.

the paint chip shown is close. Definitely not grabber blue which is lighter and brighter.
I am looking for a new paint formula for this color.
here is a pantera pic of the color
you can also see a grabber blue car here to see the difference
My 71 was originally blue. From the small fragments I have found, it does in no way look like your chip sample above. And the picture of the car on Hemming's is in very poor lighting and looks way off. I can only tell you what the blue on my car looks like and I know it was never repainted that blue. Somebody repainted it red, probably in an effort to sell it because the blue is either a color you love or hate.
Here is a car with "supposedly" factory paint, never redone. I dont know who he is, just found it surfing.
another of the same car - Says "original mid blue paint". That is exactly what is on my 71.
Here's Phil's car after repaint
The Hemmings picture IS the blue you're talking about. That's going to be really difficult to find. Even if you found one original, it will be faded and not accurate.
FWIW
In the pic of the blue car with owner (?), besides the black pin striping, the blacked out chrome trim, and the body color mirror, the lower body black paint has been extended above the rocker panel / door sill line and wrapped around the lower rear quarters. Just sayin'.
Phil's car was repainted French Blue. The reason that I know this is that I put Phil in touch with a NorCal owner that had that French Blue color on his Pantera and Phil got the info from him. Also, Phil has moved to Florida.

My 1973 is 1 of 78 with "blue paint" per the Marti Report. Several pics showing the color in different light in my old intro thread. - https://pantera.infopop.cc/topic/pantera-6007
I got some Grabber blue touch up paint and it's not the same color...
I think that is the color I am looking for.
Do you know a paint code that is current for that color?
Sorry RBH, I don't have a paint code. Good luck.
