408-C | The De Tomaso Forums

Can anyone explain to me the ramifications of building a 408 cu in Cleveland motor? Is it worth it to go that large or not? Will the motor hold together and last like a stock 351-C?What other factors do I need to concern myself with? Any and all input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

You need to get a hold of John Taphorn, current POCA president. I think he's running a 408ci Cleveland, and he had to tinker with details to get it to live. He's extremely happy with it now (as I understand it).
