any one know how to down load those photos to harddrive?

I like the black one. The GTS has a weird stance. Looks like its sitting unusually high.

The black 71 has a pretty creative engine cover using a 69/70 Mustang Shaker scoop reversed. I've never seen that before. Could made to clear quite a few combinations, like Webers etc.

I'll try to get over to the auction. The number of cars is just overwhelming.

I like the cool pimpy-like appaerance of the orange one. I assume it's not everyone's taste but I kinda like it.

I'm curious how the rust is on the stock blue one. I like the blue with the pantera letters on the side.

You need a "right click enable" plugin for Chrome or Firefox. Mecum has disabled it for some reason.

I agree with those remarking on the black beauty. That is sweet. I have a similar idea regarding hood scoop, so kinda cool to see it in action. The interior is awesome (IMHO ;-)!

Also agree...the maroon GTS just looks wrong...ride height way too high. Probably new springs.

Regarding saving the photos to your hard drive, I made a folder on my desktop and using Firefox I chose the "save page" option from the tool menu and saved the page to the folder. There is then a sub folder automatically in it with all the photos.

Any Bets as to how many of the 6 DeTomaso Panteras will meet the reserve & be SOLD!>SOLD>SOLD!!!...

This could be an originality thing? There was never a US black car made.

Panteras are also on the recently "discovered" list and the money is being subtle as to not blow the lid off of the market on them?

GT5's are being treated as different cars. Production numbers are very low on them as opposed to the US versions.

It doesn't matter much as the market is somewhere in the 50 to 100% increase in just two years.

With the recent volatility of "Wall Street", smart money will be looking to diversify but is showing a lack of available cash.

By the same token the people we are talking about are not interested in just one car at these potential profit levels.

There are some traits of the 80s Ferrari market when seemingly overnight every V12 car became a $1million property?

Here the key is, "bone stock".

THE 74 GTS just sold for $110,000
That's the Bid amount. There is probably a 10% bidders fee on top of that.

so $121,000 paid. Probably.

$220,000 for the black GT5-S!

Before anybody "Rips Me"...I'll..."Rip Myself"....WOW!!!...Never expected 5 out of 6 to be SOLD!, SOLD!!,SOLD!!!

I benefit from the double edged sword adage.

My prediction was Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay Off!!!, but I benefit from increased value of my 1972 Pre-L that is a California car being 99.9375% RUST FREE, never hit , no accident/s example.

The buyer of the black Pantera stole that car.

Many smiles per gallon for the new owner.

Not an investment museum piece or a 3-car Garage-Queen.

I tend to agree... black car was a good buy. Good smiles per mile ROI... exactly.

The only people that should be upset about all of this are the guys that were holding out on buying a Pantera and are virtually priced out of the market?

They are just going to have to settle for a Fiero now instead but then again, they were going to put a Chevy in the car anyway? I'm not sure if the 427 will fit but the 350 will.

I feel we've all felt the price increase was severely overdue. (Okay, I'm a very longtime fan, so I've been wrong for eons)

When you compare style, power, usability, production numbers, the 'normal' Pantera (not modded, not GT5, etc) is still a good value, even at the recently inflated prices.

The low mile blue and red car were both good values since they're pretty hard to replace, but you're hardly going to drive it and devalue it every mile

Not familiar with how Mecum charges, but assuming a 10% to the sellers to, so 'only' about $103k realized by blue car, and $95k by the red car.

I feel the Pantera is certainly due the attention and the values.
