a/c vents

I have noticed in pictures some cars have additional a/c vents to the 2 in the center, notably this months POCA Pantera of the Quarter has 3 visible, the 2 center plus one in front of the passenger above the glovebox. Was this something available on only certain models or can it be added? If so, how?

It was on early cars only. On later models, the contoured mount in the middle of your dash with the 'fasten seat belt' light covers the center outlet. Thank your local Congressional rep for mandating that valuable reminder, then DeTomaso for screwing the light mount to the dash such that one cannot access the two little nuts to remove it unless the dash is pulled. A std 3rd A/C outlet would then drop into the center hole....
