I would like to explore the possibilitys of removing all catalytic converter,EGR etc. and retune engine.I know this stuff stiffles the performance greatly.Emission testing in this state was once thought to come back ,but it has become a foregone issue fallen off on the wayside. Is it worth it to
remove this stuff?Does anyone know? After all it seems it can be put back.Or just go to an earlier non emission dated motor..?Hmmmm now thinking about it this can potentialy turn into a good debate...lol but we are all bias
here...MORE HORSEPOWER IN MY PANTERA YAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH....LOL

IMHO, paractically none of the wide-body cars still run their cats, which may not even be available as replacements today. The stock Ford EGR plates burn through quickly and are similarly s-canned. Be careful to cap any vacuum ports etc if you also remove the temperature-retard switch n the block. This device tends to make the engine run hot so a thorough re-timing should be done. The solenoid-powered throttle stop often is similarly inoperative on many, and in any case is unnecessary; the power wire makes a convenient attach point for your new big Holley's electric choke.
