AC Charging location

Should be right on the compressor itself. Origional valves used a 1/4" king valve to open and close and old style guages will screw right on. Newer style will have the r134 connections. The fitting on the dryer in the back is in the the high pressure side of the system and not a charging line. I would not try charging thru that unless you are pumping the system down and weighing the charge in with the system not running. Without seeing it I would think it is a tap for a pressure switch. So if I take off the bulkhead to get to the compressor I should see the fitting. I just thought that the site glass (to check for bubbles)was in the back at the dryer and I should fill there. Anyway that's how I charged some old mustangs in the past.

No, easier to get to them from under just in front of the rear wheel on the pass side. Jack it up enough to make it easier, then if your hoses are long enough you can see the sight glass with guages in hand, if you are just topping off the charge, be carefull not to overcharge, it will seize the compressor. Don't worry about completely clearing the sightglass, flashing is still ok if the engine is warm and the ambiant is warm with lower engine rpm's
