AC compressor alignment

Replaced Sanden style 508 compressor with the same, but the pulley does not line up. It needs to be forward about 1/2". I guess the old one did, but I don't remember since this is a restoration. I'm using the same mounting plate. Need some ideas on how to align the pulley.

You need a special mounting bracket.

I'll check my pictures. I think I used the dual pulley Sanden Compressor....

Outboard Alternator / Sanden Setup

So the outer pulley is driven off the crank, and the inner pulley drives the outboarded alternator....

Larry Stock at Pantera Parts Connection Carson City has them in 1/4" increment offsets for different style rotary compressors. Measure up what you need and give him call.

Had the bracket on backwards. Sheesh!

Bracket may be on backwards. The bracket notch mounts to the back of the compressor.

Sorry should have read farther last night---glad you figured it out. Did the same thing many
any years ago so don't feel alone.
