ac rotary switch

The blue/black wire should have power whenever the AC switch is on. The white/black wire should have power whenever the deicing switch is set to a lower temperature than the air coming through the evaporator. These wires go to relays on the drivers side, one for the ac clutch and the other for the condenser fan. The only way you will see power on these wires is if they are connected to the rotary switch and it is turned on. See the wiring diagram at technical/electrical diagrams/ac/late on panteraplace.com. Ignition switch also needs to be on in the acc or run position also.

thanks,can i use an universal switch(which only has two prongs) and splice the blue and white cables together ?

Also i put freeze 12 in my car i was told this was basically R-134 with some oils so can I recharge the car with R-134 without doing a vaccum?
