I had a small accident with my 72 Pantera...It rolled out of my garage and straight into my Ford Explorer nose first. No one was in either car, and no one saw it happen. I left the car in neutral, and to my disbelief, my garage floor has a small incline to it, and over the course of about an hour, the car actually rolled out the open door. My driveway has a small incline, so it rolled about 35 feet into the Explorer. The hood is crunched into the lower body panel and it wont open. The left bumper is damaged, the left headlight is damaged, and the left fender is damaged. I am insured, but am not sure where to go to get parts for the car. I looked at some of the web sites, but am not sure who to contact. I live in South Florida. Im sure someone out there has had to replace these parts before. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Used parts - watch this list and are you on the deTomaso list? See: http://realbig.com/mailman/listinfo/detomaso

Your nearest vendor for new parts would be Marino Perna - Pantera East. See: http://www.mapenterprises.net/pe/1024x768/main.htm or http://www.mapcycle.com/pe/catolog.htm

Do you have a good list of Pantera vendors? If not contact me at chendric@bellsouth.net and I will send you links for the 10 I know of.
That must have hurt to see! If you are not too personally attached to your damaged car, maybe think of taking the insurance money, selling the car as is, and buying another car from someone who has put tremendous amounts of bucks into their car, and is willing to let go of their car at a loss. Monjoho on the other post is looking for a fixerupper. Just a thought.
Wes:
I am so sorry to hear about your mishap.I am going thru just a small amount of damage to my 2 month old car and am sick about it.
At the mercy of the body shop and insurance Co.
I don't even want these guys at the body shop to move the car, you know grinding gears, etc.
I told them that the car must be kept dry and I expect a perfect job, perion.
We will see.
They will have to match paint from the pass door around the back to the left side just for a right rear ding!
Take care and keep the faith man.
Well, I brought my car to the body shop and they looked it over. The place came recommended to me, and it looks like a good one. At least it's a very clean body shop and it had other old cars in various stages of restoration. I hope all goes well. P.S. The emergency break actually works, and I should have used it, but....I didn't and I keep telling myself that it's only a car...It's only a car!
