Can you spell f-i-r-e?

Ammeter is famous for loose connections on the back. Loose + electricity = poor connection = arcing = heat = funny smells, melted wires or worse.

Remove center console immediately and tighten the rear ammeter studs/wires/nuts.

If it is too far gone already, you can bolt the two wires together and then heavily tape them to fully cover all metal. No meter, but no fire.

THAT is exactly what makes owning a De Tomaso the true joy that is is. You are now a member of the De Tomaso Family, not just a car owner. All for one and one for all.

And Randy is right - where are you? If there is an owner within a few hours drive, you probably have a wrenching buddy willing to lend a hand.

thanks ;I live in canda' b.c.in cloverdale and yes their our a few people around a hour away ,they have all been very helpful when I do have a problem .The other thing I have notice is that their great people to be with I was told that their is about 7 our 8 in the vancouver area.My friend hermen seems to know most of them he has had his pantera for about 14 our 15 years .I was told that their is a meet in birch bay coming up soon looking forward to meeting some more pantera owners . So tell me were their times you felt like you were working on it more than you were driving it ? I think I have gotten all the bugs out of it.Is their any special volt meter I should buy ,would like it to be close to the other one ?
