I bought mine at NAPA too. Long time ago. I don't have part numbers on them either. Emery, check with your NAPA counterperson and ask the poundage rating of the Larry supplied part #. Then up it 50 or so lbs for the wing. I have a small wing, I had to modify a set but they work great. You don't want to have to pull real hard to bring it down. I used a 1/2 inch ID shaft collar and tapped the set screw hole to accept the stud at the end of the cylinder. The top just screwed to the old original tip.

I used a set I got from Hall. They promptly tore out the deck hinges. It probably wasn't really thier fault. The hinge area in the decklid is a very weak area often cracking underneath.
I wound up brazing a few pounds of brass in there and did a good job or warping the decklid. I used brass so I wouldn't have to use as much heat as for welding steel. It could have been worse I suppose. I could hqve had to bolt the hinges through the decklid. I would think that the "ghini wing" would cause the rapid demise of the decklid/hinge mount as well.
I'll stay with my silly '73 L wing. I can always say that it's there to feed the Webers. They are a hungry bunch ya know.
Of course, maybe the decklids didn't fit too well to begin with. I can't remember.
Jim Cozzolino bought me a pair from his local auto store (Pep Boys?) and they work great. I don't have a wing but I do have a full louvre set which is fairly heavy. Works perfectly and hasn't damaged my hinges or hood. I've had it on for the past year. The brand is SACHS and the part number is SG314005.
