A couple of Pantera vendors have built such, Wilkinson used a Euro-Renault transaxle (maybe like DeLorean used in his machine)for one, and Hall Panteras once advertised an auto-transaxle back in the '80s. Although why this should be necessary or desirable, I'm at a loss. Certainly the factory never offered such. The ZF 5-speed, used in every Pantera built '71-'93, is arguably the strongest part of the Pantera, and parts, while expensive, are readily available while adapted auto-trannys would be forever suspect since very few have ever been swapped in. If you do this, I suggest you attempt to convert it as a bolt-in and keep every single OEM part removed since resale value on such a thing would be iffy at best.
