1.
Does anybody know which automatic transmission (type, numbers, etc.) is in our 1981 Deauville?

2.
I think we have to adjust it slightly, for it goes very hard into reverse (that is: very slow, with open trottle). Besides that, when we accelerate (full trottle), it doesn't shift from 1ste to 2nd gear. At least not at 6000-6500 rpm, I didn't dare to go further! When I got off the gas it directly shifted.
Does anybody know how to adjust this transmission, having these problems?

Thanks in advance!

Hello!
Sorry about your slush box. It is a Ford C-6 and it sounds like your transmission needs some attention.
The man who knows the most and has done a number of Longchamp transmission work is Art Carr of Huntington Beach, California. His web site is: http://www.artcarr.com/
Call him up (not email him) and tell him Dave Adler sent you. I am certain he will give you good advice. He prepared a special torque converter for us over 10 years ago and rebuilt our trans and it is perfect. Make sure there is a good oil cooler for the C-6 and that the lines are going in the right direction to the cooler and back. Let us know if he answers your questions and how about posting the answer on this forum for future reference. Ciao! DAve!
