I went to the Google earth site and tried to download a program that would let me veiw the earth from sattalites. Instead I was loaded a virus called Surfsidekick and that sucker ruined my PC. I had to take it to the shop and have it reformatted and reinstall windows. I lost a lot of info. Thankfully, I have an external drive that stores 160 gig. If I could just figure how to get my adress book back?

Where your address book is stored and it's file extension are dependent on which version of Outlook you are using. It is normally under C:\Documents and Settings\'your user profile name'\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook

For Outlook 2003 the extension is .OAB (Offline Address Book), for earlier versions it was .PAB (Personal Address Book) thus, you should be able to search your hard drive with a wildcard extension search (i.e. search criteria of *.PAB) to locate it. It usually is called Outlook.PAB by default.

Outlook will normally set a Personal Address book on installation, identify on your new installation through a search and then paste your old address book (using the default filename) over it.
