Broken Speedo Drive

Hi everyone.

I have a rare car built in Australia based on similar engineering to the Detomaso Panteras. It has a ZF 5-DS-25-2 transaxle with a 5 litre efi V8.

I've broken the speedo drive in the gearbox and I was wondering if any of you guys knew of a source of parts, new or second hand where I could get a replacement. ZF stuff is very rare here.

Or maybe there is a compatible drive from some other more common vehicle.

As described in my earlier post I've found a complete unit for sale but he won't sell just the speedo drive.

There is a lot of information there on the cars. Mine is number 009 out of only 15.
The most famous car is 007 which had a twin turbo V8 producing over 1200HP!! (in a street car) However, the car was involved in a crash at over 300kph and the owner tragically died. So don't try the email address on that site.

Basically the car has an Alpha Sprint chassis with Kevlar and Carbon Fibre body. It has a Holden 5 litre V8 (GM) producing about 300HP and a ZF transaxle. All in a 2300lbs package.
