Buddy Bar Intake

I just started taking my Boss Spec apart. It is the first time I have suddied the parts. The intake is a D1ZX-8425-DA. I see it listed in the old Off Road Catalog.

On the underside of the manifold it has Buddy Bar cast into it. Who is Buddy Bar? Any opinions on this manifold?

They produced the cast aluminum intake manifolds for Ford back in the day.

The original Boss 351 intake was an D1ZX-9425-CA. It was an aluminum dual-plane intake that took a spread-bore carb. ALL Boss 351s came with the "CA" intake. The intake you have D1ZX-9425-DA was an over-the-counter intake that is identical to the Boss 351 intake except it takes a square-bore carb.
