I know that when I buy my Pantera one of the first things I want to get done is a new dash with updated instrumentation, switches and layout.

I was hoping that some members could send pictures to me if they have updated their dashboards and provide information on suppliers and parts used.

Some of the things that are important to me are:

1) Updating the instruments to something that looks modern and has improved lighting for nightime driving.

2) Getting a set of modern switches for windows. Getting a modern switch for electric mirrors.

3) Improving the layout of the secondary panel to a horizontal type layout so that I can install a modern radio/cd player.

4)Find a set of modern a/c controls, maybe something similar to what is in the Nissan 350Z (Three rotary based controls)

Anyway any pictures could be sent to me via email: clewis@dancemusic.net

Thanks all in advance for your help.

Hall Pantera sells digital instruments that fit your stock dash & console. At one 'Vegas event, Mr Hall ran his battery down showing off the electronic dash, and we had to push-start the thing! Another owner was so in love with GT-40s that he adapted a GT-40 dash to his Pantera. The fiberglas piece was too wide as-received, and needed some mods to accomodate the Pantera instruments, but when finished, it was absolutely unique (he had repro GT-40 wheels and a steering wheel, too). Another owner managed to adapt a complete Buick dashboard to his Mangusta, for utterly unknown reasons....I do not recommend this last but it shows what can be done. Get creative!

I can live with the stock Pantera dash as long as it's NOT the ugly and un-ergonomic dual pod dash seen on early Panteras. All that cheap plastic too! Ughh.

IMHO, the late model leather dash is one of the nicest improvements the factory did to the Pantera.

I couldn't agree more. This is one of the main reasons why I sold my early dual-pod dash Pantera and purchased a GT-5S with the single pod leather dash.

I just hated sitting in such a fine automobile and being surrounded by plastic and going X-eyed staring down those dark tunnels AKA the dreaded DUAL-POD DASH....whose ergonomics are probably the worst of any modern day car.
