Now for those news you have all been wainting for.... the new Supercar coupe (drumroll please) Ghepardo (Italian for cheetah) strives to set itself apart by portraying itself as a true supercar alternative as opposed to a stretched design of an existing model quilted with luxury.

Ok So it isn't an issue from the factory. Another realistic prototype along the lines of the 'Panthera', but we are getting there, others have a similar passion like you/us. The funny thing is 2 different guys are taking credit for it. I like the Panthera interpretation as well. It looks great. Just an observation if someone were to actually try to execute the design:

On Panthera, the length of the door appears longer and the transition to the rear wheel well shorter than the classic Pantera. This may be due there being no pillar or rear window segment on Panthera as on the classic Pantera. Not sure what this says about the location of the firewall but if it is biased as far reaward as it appears, this would be good news for larger drivers but I doubt there are any longitudinal V8/transaxle combos that are short enough to accomodate this package for a similar wheel bases to the classic Pantera. Anyone else see this?

Aw thats just a trivial matter. We could just throw in a VW bug engine and throw in one of these with every purchase http://vrimz.com/soundracer .... As long as the car would look that good.

The 4.6 DOHC 32 valve mod motor in my FWD Lincoln Continental would drop right into the compact engine compartment of the Panthera, transaxle and all.

I never warmed up to the design of the Panthera .... can't explain why. It does nothing major wrong, but it doesn't grab my attention. That's just my gut reaction, I respect the choice of those of you who like it.

On the other hand, I can see where the Ghepardo has modern, crisp lines. If I were an auto exec, and I was choosing between the two, I'd go to market with the Ghepardo. I really like the Ghepardo's modern interpretation of the Campy wheels, bravo to the young designer for that.
