E-brake bracket prevents oil pan removal?

I believe the bracket needs to be removed. In my 32 years of Pantera ownership, I am unaware of anyone who has removed a 10qt oil pan with both the engine and emergency bracket in place. I realize this is not the message you preferred.

I agree with JT. I've never been able to get the pan off without removing the e-brake bracket.

The good news is that the vendors sell a removable e-brake bracket to replace the cut out one with for future access or you can fabricate one fairy easily.

Thanks guys I guess I was right in my thinking Iam going to cut it off with my saws all and refabricate it another way to be removable in the future also changing air compressor just as soon with water tubes and everything out of the way

there are a@ 5/6 spot welds that hold the bracket down [ look like dimples in the bracket] need ab to drill an 1/8 hole thru bracket only in each dimple then go back with a 1/4 bit to remove the weld. fwiw both brackets i have removed half the spot welds had no penetration once you do the pilot holes grab the bracket with a pair of vice grips and wiggle it up and down, i t may break the weld off.

My 79 Pantera has the removable e brake bracket and removable cross member from the factory and I'm sure once you install then the 10 qt pan is removable ...
