Did any Pantera have an automatic trans? I ask this because of a interchange book that lists Pantera as a donor for a TH400. I know that the Buick TH400 (or ST400 as Buick called it) is found in many cars including Ferrari and Aston Martin because of it's short bellhousing and ease of adaption. But I can't picture a Pantera with an automatic. What do you say?

All Panteras '71-93 had manual 5-speed ZF transaxles with no separate gearbox case. A couple of the last two Pantera 200 models had Getrag (I think) 6-speed manual transaxles. The only automatic Panteras were one built by aftermarket specialists Wilkinson Panteras And (I think) one by Hall Pantera. Wilkinson used a big Renault sedan automatic transaxle; dunno what unit Hall used.
