Some things just don't add up!. If you were building the Pantera from scratch...Would you locate the fuel tank on the same side as the driver??? or would you try and balance the car and place it on the passenger side?. I am giving VERY SERIOUS THOUGHT to building a custom gas tank and placing it in the front of the car. not only to help balance the car but to add weight where it is most needed in a Pantera OVER the front wheels. I have driven my Pantera FAST enough to have experienced "Front End Float!".....NOT a good feeling at 140plus....What are your thoughts as to relocating the fuel tank to the front? I am sure someone has done this!. What were the results???....Thanks, Mark.

fuel cell, sure.

Metal fuel tank, NO!

FYI - factory GR4 cars had twin tanks, left and right sides.

Also, early cars had battery in rear, on right side, to offset fuel weight.

But if all this work is to just address the front end float, why not do a front spoiler?

The Pantera does not need a monster GT5-style spoiler to calm down the lifting issue. Even the simplest flat, no-holes GTS spoiler will hold things down enough for all but the most extreme speeds.

$100 from Quella.

Thanks for your input Larry very much appreciated as I am not familar with Quella, can you please provide me with their contact information.....Thanks,Mark.
I wanted my tank on the right for a couple reasons. When I tore my car down it had a Hall oil cooler on the right in a stagnant area. There was no air flow. On top of this oil lines ran under the car. The oil comes out the left side of the engine. So I put an oil cooler on the left ducting it through an air scoop on the left. This is where the tank was. No oil lines under the car. It also made sense for balance.

I built an Aluminum tank on the right around a custom header design. I since changed my header design and I am designing my second aluminum tank for the right side.
