I'm new here but I'll chime in for fun and in hopes that someone will look at my other post and help me out. I run a mildly prepared Porsche 944 Turbo on track that on paper has similar performance to my new (non-running) Pantera. If you have done track events and pushed your car to the limit (which you can do with a $7,000 Porsche 944 Turbo) you know that track performance (not drag racing) is all about tires, suspension, and weight (and to a far lesser degree, horsepower). If you properly prepare a Pantera using modern technology, and properly prepare a WRX with all the aftermarket stuff available they are both going to be wicked fast and the driver will make all the difference.
