Thought this would be the right place....Or maybe the Tools section. Anywho I just found this replacement spout setup for gas cans and such, they have a full listings for different can manufacturers. These will get rid of those stupid and major pain in the butt safety shut off spouts that all gas cans have now.
Enjoy.

I actually hurt my back one day trying to fill the generator with one of those government mandated spouts. NOTHING more frustrating then government getting involved in things and screwing it up.

I bought a couple of the stock car fill cans. They work well.

I get frustrated every time I grab the weed eater or blower. 2 stroke engines are always either a little lean or rich. As soon as they change from winter gas to summer gas they are sensitive enough to need adjustment.

They made it so you need a special tool to adjust it. I went to the repair store to get the tool. They said if they sell the tool to the end user they are fined $1200 the first time and $12,000 the second.

That kind of crap makes me beat red mad. I got a lawn more with no adjustment on it because of our government and it barely runs; and it's new!

I burned up my last weed eater because I could not adjust it and it was too lean and it fried the engine.

Rant off.
I too hate the new DOT spouts.

The best gas can I've found is the NATO style jerry can and spout that's supplied with a Swiss-Army Pinzgauer. They were outlawed by the latest DOT rules. You can still find these cans on ebay, but with a smaller diameter spout. The Swiss spout is over 1" diameter, and it'll empty the can in a wink.

The ebay NATO cans are green, but that can be cured. Wink
Thanks Dave,

I was able to get one on Ebay. Just bought a replacement chainsaw and there is no access whatsoever to the carb adjustment for the home owner...if it even has one.

It is frustratingly ass9 as 2-stroke high strung motors can change the needed mixture even as the gas changes from summer gas to winter gas and Vs Vsa

Good to hear form you Dave!
Often the 2stroke engines fail because the operator used fuel containing alcohol which dried out the rubber parts (fuel line, impulse line, intake manifold, etc.), which led to cracks in the rubber and an ingress of air, which led to... Jester ...running lean and burning up the engine.

Always use ONLY alcohol-free fuel, and add Sta-bil immediately upon purchase. If it's over a half year old, dump it into your car and start over. The smaller the engine, the more critical this is.

You'll avoid 95% of your problems this way.
